Notice
The SM type should be installed horizontally, ensuring that the bimetallic element is horizontal and the valve cover is at the top. When arc welding the steam trap to the pipeline, there is no need to remove the bimetallic element.

Introduction

BT series clean steam traps are designed for draining clean and pure systems. They can be used in sterilizers, main drains, CIP/SIP systems and process vessels. The valve body is made of 316L stainless steel with a high internal surface finish and a 150° tilted seat to ensure self-drainage.

Working principle

Air and other non-condensable gases can cause many problems in steam systems. Not only will the warm-up time be prolonged, but the temperature of a steam-air mixture will be lower than that of pure steam at the same pressure. Air will form a gas film that reduces heat transfer efficiency, leading to increased fuel consumption, and these gases are also the main cause of pipeline corrosion.
